Aiyegbeni is not in my plans for now - Steven Keshi.
On Saturday, February 11, Aiyegbeni scored his 13th goal in the English premier league season, when they played against Taiye Taiwo’s new club queen parks rangers. The match ended 3-2 in favor of Blackburn rovers.
When asked, Stephen keshi never made a conclusive statement, he said, "Where did you get the news that Yakubu is on my list," Keshi questioned when asked if the player’s absence on the field in the last three weeks would have affected his chances.
"I never said Yakubu was on my list. But if he makes it, good for him and if he doesn't, that means he was not good enough"
"But why not just wait until next week for you to find out who makes the list." Owing to the recent form of Aiyegbeni and the fact that as the latest super eagles’ head, he would like to carry as less risk as possible by making sure he utilizes his best, he will be taking lessons from what happened in the past and taking advantage of every positive opportunity.
Having Aiyegbeni and Odemwengie on the field will not only bring results, but will create a lasting opportunity for him to get the poorly rated eagles back on track. Keshi will be playing a friendly in Monrovia against the Liberian team on Monday, using entirely home based players.

The 26-year-old has only played twice so far for Mark Hughes' side, but according to the player, he said he was convinced that the club is already deliberating about making him a permanent fixture at Loftus Road stadium.
Taiye was quoted as saying "The fans didn't believe in me in Italy but I'm happy here and QPR want to sign me on a permanent basis,". English fans are known to be very positive when it comes to supporting players. This is what QPR needs most especially now that they must struggle to avoid relegation.
